Learn MorePerforming Arts Fort Worth’s Children’s Education Program recognizes and awards teachers, talented students and graduate students for their commitment to music and promoting performing arts in education.
In memory of Mr. Perry R. Bass, the Hall’s namesake, and in celebration of his life and achievements, the Perry R. Bass Fellowship was established in 2007 by Performing Arts Fort Worth to recognize a student seeking a graduate degree in music education. The student should demonstrate excellent skills in musicianship and/or performance and be dedicated to the field of music education. The Fellowship provides grants for one academic year. Funds are paid directly to the recipient’s university to be applied to defraying expenses of advanced study. The Fellowship is open to students who have completed at least one semester toward a master’s or doctorate degree at Texas Christian University, Texas Woman’s University, the University of North Texas, or the University of Texas at Arlington. For more information on the Perry R. Bass Fellowship, please contact Taylor Woods, Director of Education & Community Engagement, at [email protected]. Perry r. bass fellowship recipients

Rosalyn “Roz” Gross Rosenthal (1924-2024) was a beacon of generosity and a pillar of the Fort Worth community. Roz's impact on Fort Worth was immeasurable. She gave generously and supported many cultural organizations, including Performing Arts Fort Worth. The Great Dome in the Founders Concert Theater is named in honor of Roz and her husband, Manny Rosenthal. Her dedication to community service was recognized through numerous accolades, including being honored as a Great Woman of Texas and a Legacy Award recipient in 2016. Roz’s legacy lives on; PAFW is proud to acknowledge an outstanding student in the greater Fort Worth area who achieves superiority in his or her field with The Roz Rosenthal Award for Outstanding Student in Music. With this gift a student may pursue further studies, helping build skills that will last a lifetime.
