Frequently Asked Questions

All CEP performances are completely free of charge to students and teachers thanks to generous donors and patrons. If you are interested in making a tax-deductible donation to support the program, click here https://www.basshall.com/quick-donate/.

After scheduling all FWISD elementary schools, a PAFW staff member begins processing requests submitted through the online system on a first come, first served basis. Due to high demand and limited seating availability, we cannot guarantee seats for every group. Once the requests are processed, the school contact requesting seats will receive an email notifying them of the status of the request. If the request can be accommodated, the contact person will receive an email with the performance details along with the number of seats reserved for that group. If the request cannot be fulfilled, the contact person will be notified by a staff member.

You may submit your request for all shows you are interested in by visiting http://www.basshall.com/childrens-education-program/student-matinees/ to see all of the offerings for the upcoming season. The earlier you can request seats, and the more flexibility you have with dates, the better your chances are for receiving seats to the shows you want.

The Nutcracker is the most popular production we present and tickets to these performances are always filled very quickly.

Due to limitations of availability in Bass Hall, along with availability of Texas Ballet Theater dancers, we are only able to present six CEP performances of The Nutcracker at this time.

Due to the popularity of the program, we are unable to maintain a waiting list.

The CEP student matinees are specifically designed for school groups and the priority is to Fort Worth ISD and the surrounding schools in the community. Individuals are not permitted to register without a school group. If your homeschool co-op is not listed, please reach out to [email protected] for more information on availability.

Due to the nature of our program, we do not sell tickets to CEP performances, you must follow the request procedures listed on our website to obtain seats.

Chaperones are determined by each school, PAFW is unable to allow entry to unauthorized parents or chaperones.

PAFW does not permit any outside children to attend CEP performances, only students traveling with a school group are allowed. Children under the age of five are not permitted in the audience chamber, this includes babies and toddlers.

Several factors determine your group’s seats in the performance; the size of your group, date of your request and any special accommodations will determine in which section your group will be seated.

At this time, we cannot guarantee specific level seats to any group unless there is a medical need, and this has been determined ahead of time.

If someone in your group requests any accessibility accommodations, please contact [email protected] or call 817-212-4302 to determine the best seating arrangement for your group.

There are ADA seats available on all levels of Bass Performance Hall, please make a note of your need when requesting your seats and we will do our best to accommodate.

ASAP! The sooner you can submit a request, the higher the likelihood that your request can be accommodated.

We receive hundreds of requests to attend CEP performances; each request is reviewed, processed and confirmed by a staff member. This process takes time and your patience is appreciated as we do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible.

Upon submitting a request, a staff person will review your request and respond with an email to the address you entered upon registering which will let you know whether your group is confirmed.

You may request to be seated in a section, however there is no guarantee this request can be accommodated due to the popularity of the program.

You will receive an email confirmation asking you to review the group reservation for accuracy. As the date approaches, you will receive additional parking, policy and chaperone information.

We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an usher who will escort you to your seats.

After dropping off the students at the East or West doors, buses are sent to nearby Harmon Field where they are organized. Once the buses are lined up, they will be sent back to Bass Hall to pick up the student groups following the conclusion of the performance.

PAFW is unable to provide parking or validation for individual vehicles. For nearby parking information, please visit www.sundancesquare.com/parking. We recommend allowing extra time if you plan to park in a downtown garage or on the street. Downtown is very busy, particularly during the lunch hour rush.

Reservation requests are typically accepted beginning in May.

You may send an email to [email protected] or call 817-212-4302 with questions.
