Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical Sensory Friendly Performance

Performing Arts Fort Worth is proud to offer a sensory friendly performance of DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL.

Running Time: 85 minutes with no intermission

This show will be performed in a supportive and judgment-free environment. This event is open to the public, but customary theater rules will be relaxed. Audience members can stand, move, talk and make noises as needed. This performance is intended for any community members who would benefit from a sensory friendly environment, along with their family and friends so that they may enjoy this experience together!

In consideration of audience needs, this theater experience will be slightly altered. Adjustments will include: 

  • Lights: Fewer flashing lights in the show and audience lights will be kept at half with no full blackouts
  • Audio: Fewer loud noises and more consistent levels of audio throughout
  • Costumes: Some pieces that disguise the appearance of a character have been removed

Additional accommodations will include:

  • Dedicated, staffed play and quiet areas in the lobby accessible during the performance
  • Sensory support tools available including fidget toys, noice-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, etc.
